Dan Brennan
The founder of Libero, Dan is a sportswriter and
qualified translator with many years experience
working in the football industry. Prior to setting
up Libero he spent 18 months working as interpreter
and English teacher for Ukrainian international
footballer, Sergei Rebrov, during his time at
Tottenham Hotspur. As a journalist he has contributed
to many publications including: The Guardian,
The Times, The Financial Times, The Daily Express,
The Sun, The Sunday Mirror, Scotland on Sunday,
When Saturday Comes and Four Four Two. He also
does regular broadcast work for the BBC Russian
Service and is currently writing a book for Arsenal
called the Official Arsenal Miscellany.

Rob Wightman
A graduate of Spanish and French, Rob has lived
in Spain and was formerly SkySports.com Spanish
football correspondent.
Rob's specialities include conducting exclusive
mother-tongue interviews with Spanish players for
a range of leading publications including Shoot
Monthly, Manchester United Magazine, FourFourTwo
and World Soccer. During the Beckham-to-Madrid
transfer saga, Rob monitored Spanish media reports
providing content for national newspapers, including
the Daily Express and the Daily Telegraph.
He has also penned a biography of Manchester United
legend Eric Cantona, published in May 2002. Due
to its success, the book will be re-released in
April 2004.
Ben Lyttleton
Ben is the former editor-in-chief of global football
website onefootball.com
and is an award-winning football writer. He supplies
bespoke and exclusive
interviews with players and coaches throughout
the football world and
currently writes for websites and publications
based in England, Scotland,
Ireland, Japan, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, United
States and Indonesia.
He is the IRN and ITV news channel’s world
football expert, has edited two
Champions League magazines and recently compiled
a guide to Euro 2004.
Alex Bellos
Alex is the author of Futebol: The Brazilian
Way of Life, the definitive account of football
in
Brazil and is the man when it comes to Brazilian
football. His book has sold 30,000 in the UK
and been translated into ten languages – from
Finnish to Chinese. For five years he was the
correspondent in Brazil for the Guardian and
the Observer.
Sam Beckwith
Based in Prague since 1996, Sam is
a freelance journalist/writer
specialising in coverage of the Czech football
scene. Formerly sports editor
of the English-language weekly The Prague Post,
Sam is now a regular
contributor to World Soccer magazine. He has
also written for When Saturday Comes and acted
as a
consultant on the BBC Four TV documentary Football & Fascism.
Oliver Fowler
Based in Barcelona, Oliver is a fluent Spanish
speaker and a regular contributor to various online
and print publications, including Shoot Magazine
and football365.com. He is currently assisting
former Colombian international, Tino Asprilla with
his autobiography.
Professor Bob Edelman
Based at the University of San Diego, Bob is one
of the world’s leading authorities on Russian
football and is currently working on a history
of Spartak Moscow. He acts as a consultant to
Libero on major editorial and publishing projects.
Guy Courtney
Guy is a Director of Pedalo Limited, the company
that designed this website. Libero is able to
draw on Pedalo’s expertise for web-related projects,
including localisation. Among Pedalo’s
portfolio is the official site of QPR Football
Club.
